Game localization is one of those problems that sounds simple on the surface but becomes enormously complex at scale. You are not just translating words — you are adapting cultural references, adjusting UI layouts for different text lengths, handling gendered languages, and ensuring that humor and emotion land correctly across cultures.
LangBridge was born from our own frustration with existing localization workflows. We needed a system that could handle the unique challenges of game text: context-dependent translations, character limits, markup tags embedded in strings, and the need to maintain consistency across tens of thousands of lines of dialogue.
The platform uses a two-pass architecture: a neural translation engine produces initial translations with full context awareness, then a rule-based post-processor handles game-specific constraints like text length limits, variable substitution, and platform-specific formatting. Human reviewers focus on the creative aspects while the system handles the mechanical ones.
